A special thank you and shout out to The Little Red House for nominating our blog for The Sunshine Blogger Award. I love reading about their adventures and I feel very fortunate that they enjoy our stories as well.
I’m not so great at these types of things, but hey, lets give her a whirl and see what happens. So here is goes-
Rules for the Sunshine Blogger award
1.Thank the person who nominated you and link back to their post.
2.Answer the 11 questions sent by the person who nominated you.
3.Nominate 11 new blogs to receive the award and write them 11 new questions.
4. Display the rules and display the Sunshine Blogger award logo in your post and/or your blog
1. What movie can you watch over and over again without getting tired of it?
I have a couple actually- Now And Then and also Dazed and Confused. My husband now hates these movies. do I care? nope- imma gonna go watch me some now and then right now.
2.Where did you get most of the decorations for your home?
Uhhhh… this is kind of a tough one- my house is a mish mash of furniture, gifted things, keepsakes and books. So walking the crazy path of life I guess.
3.If animals could talk which animal do you think would be the most annoying?
Our second cat in command Ginger- she is obsessed with me. No joke. I can’t go anywhere in our house without her following me, unless she is asleep. and usually she is asleep on me.
4.What was the last photo you took?
making maple syrup. you can see it in my blog about February.
5.Where are some unusual places you have been?
does Danforth count? hahaha seriously tho the german village we visited on our honeymoon would be a close second. But our little home town of Danforth is a gem of weirdness.
6.What is the funniest joke you know by heart?
ok so I was at a rodeo when I was a kid and a clown looks up in the crowd and says “oh goodness! we are blessed with the presence of the one of a kind DOLLY PARTON today! oh wait- it was just two bald guys sitting together” – I heard that joke when I was like 8 and could not ever forget it.
7.What do you think you are much better at than you actually are?
Probably a lot of things since I think I’m so fantastical and amazing. I do fancy myself as quite the singer/dancer – my daughter lets me know that I am very wrong.
8.What’s the most ridiculous thing you have bought?
if you could see the amount of money I spend a month in books, you’d probably gasp, but I believe reading is fundamental and don’t care really.
9.What was the best thing that happened to you today?
my husband looking at me in serious awe and saying “I love you” every time- never gets old. Always makes my day.
10.What are some of the best vacations you’ve had?
Vacation? the only one I’ve ever been on was our honeymoon, which was rad as all get out and I’d do it again if we didn’t own a farm. We took a road trip down the eastern seaboard of America – we made sure to stop in places in almost every state, depending largely on traffic and the need to stretch. We visited the Amish in Pennsylvania, my cousin in Georgia, His cousin, This awesome huge mini golf course, a German village in the middle of the mountains, the Tennessee mountains, and he took me to Jurassic Park and Harry Potter world in Florida, because I was one of those kids that never went to amusement parks. One of my favorite pictures of myself is me pretending to be attacked by a velociraptor. We also did a bunch of cruising, exploring and getting lost because why not?
11.What happens in your country regularly that people in most countries would find strange or bizarre?
Uh, its the good old US of A – I think we have lots of weird things we do that other countries shake or scratch their collective heads at.
So for my nominees I am choosing (drumroll please)
5.Darly
11. Megan Condis
And here are your questions-
1. What’s your favorite book?
2. What did you want to be when you were a kid?
3. What’s your favorite animal and why?
4. Where is your dream vacation?
5. If you could trade places with any fictional character, who would that be?
6. What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever witnessed?
