Its that time of year again- Time to celebrate the end of summer and harvest and to ring in the beginning of fall!
To celebrate the changing of seasons, and the arrival of Halloween, Gillis Fuel, LLC is sponsoring the Halloween Decorating Contest for the Town of Danforth.
Just like last year, we are going to have TWO different categories-
- Business and Residential. There will be a top three for each category.
- The businesses will be awarded with 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize ribbons.
- The residential winners will be awarded CASH PRIZES of $20 for 1st, $15 for 2nd and $10 for 3rd.
RULES:
- ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BE SIGNED UP AND DECORATIONS COMPLETED in time for Danforth’s Octoberfest on October 13th.
- Decorations MUST STAY UP until Trunk or Treat on October 31st.
- Winners will be announced on October 31st at Trunk or Treat – and also the next day on the Gillis Fuel, LLC Facebook page.
- Participants DO NOT have to be present at Trunk or Treat to be eligible for prizes.
- Judging of Decorations will be on the 13th, but any participant that takes their décor down before Halloween, will no longer be eligible for prizes.
- All participants MUST be residents of the Town of Danforth
- Sign up can be done at Danforth Town Office (448-2321), Gillis Fuel Office (448-2218) or on the Gillis Fuel Facebook page, but must include NAME and Physical Address of participant.
- HAVE FUN AND BE FESTIVE! Whatever décor you choose, scary, funny, harvest, etc, keep it fun and festive to the time of year.
