What’s in a logo?

First of all- HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Now that that is out of the way- One of our goals this year is to really start producing products for sale- on here, at a local store, out of our homestead and at festivals(I miss being a vendor).

I’ve made a sub list of goals to accomplish before I feel I’m presenting our best to the world(more then we already do)

Step One: Design a Farm Logo

I created this- can you tell? – using my IPhone and the apps Over and Create. I had to use both and do a lot of saving and crossing platforms because I wanted to do it with the free versions.

I would recommend either of these programs, but I enjoyed Over more.

So here it is- step one in my master plan. Thanks for tuning in and let me know what you think!

Until next time, have a wicked good day.

This is the official website for Gillis Gardens, LLC. Gillis Gardens is a farm, run by myself and my wonderful husband. We believe in biodiversity, organic growing methods and doing things ourselves. I knit, crochet, make jewelry and sew. MrGillis builds, doing everything from our plumbing to our mechanical to our renovations. We are both active members of our little community. We both take care of the plants and animals. He weeds, I harvest. He spreads manure, I plant. We raise multiple breeds of chickens for eggs and meat. We have a herd of Alpacas that we shear every year for their beautiful fiber, which we then have milled into ultra luxurious yarn. We make our own maple syrup, preserves and pickles. We raise bees for honey and herbs for medicine. We also raise pigs for meat and fun. We are the parents of two young children, and consider that our most important job. Follow our adventures here and also on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter.

  1. I love the logo. It gives you scope to use elements in other products and stationery, ie the trees only and it keeps your eyes moving from each image to image. We love logos as husband a logo/web designer in spare moments. Good luck with your ideas. Same here. We have started new life in France and using all our business skills to do what we love.
