We homesteaders are not the only ones that dream of a self sufficient life. As hard as it may be to believe, those in the public eye, seem to have an even greater need to escape the rigormaroll of the daily grind. Here’s a look at just a few examples.
Jeffery Dean Morgan– this tough guys isn’t so tough when it comes to his animals. Best known (to me and MrGillis) for his roles in Supernatural and The Walking Dead, I follow him on Instagram because he shares some pretty awesome pics of his ranch. He has donkeys, emus, Alpacas and more! I mean just check out this insta of his bull, Alexander.
Rupaul Charles– well technically it’s his husband George that owns the 60,000 acre ranch that spans across two states, but Rupaul reportedly loves being there. They are a super private couple tho, so I won’t be digging up any more info then that.
Jennifer Garner–
She grew up on a cow farm, so it’s hardly surprising that after her success as a tv/movie star she went back to her roots and started a business called “Once Upon A Farm” that’s all about wholesome real food. And she named her chickens things like “Regina George” and “Hennifer” . She’s super adorable and I follow her on Instagram.
Chris Pratt– raises his own veggies and sheep-And takes some really beautiful pictures too. I also feel like he would do really well at a lumberjack contest.
Kelly Clarkson– lives on a farm in her spare time raising chickens for eggs and occasionally finding goats in her yard. I am disappointed that she missed she a golden opportunity… so. Egg-cited. Kelly. Come on.
Zach Galifianakis– owns a farm with bees, horses and soon to be goats according to this video posted on YouTube.
Elizabeth Hurley– escapes the limelight to her 400 acre organic farm in the countryside of England. She raises her own flora, fauna, food and likes to set big piles of brush on fire like the rest of us
Nicole Kidman– she and her country-fied hubby own a farm with alpacas, hens, angus cows, and an orchard.
This is just a small amount of celebs kicking it back rural like in their downtime. There are dozens more, because let’s face it, homestead life forever.
Until next time, have a wicked good day!
